Congratulations to our Chair, Brian Johnson on Receiving the British Empire Medal

We are delighted to share that Brian Johnson, Chair of Friends of Didsbury Park, has been recognised in the New Year’s Honours List 2025 with the British Empire Medal (BEM).

The citation reads:

Chair, Friends of Didsbury Park. For services to Charity and to the community in Didsbury, Greater Manchester

We’re sure you’ll agree that Brian’s dedication to improving Didsbury Park and fostering a sense of community has been truly inspirational. Whether rallying volunteers, spearheading projects, or simply being a friendly face in the park, Brian’s commitment has made a significant impact to countless lives.

In his typically modest way, Brian shared this news reluctantly, but we feel it’s only right to celebrate his achievement publicly. Congratulations, Brian – we’re all so proud!
